These large scale paintings were all created on location. The larger scale allows for bold fluid stroked to convey both the simply joy of a mark, and the depiction of the landscape. This series began because it was the only way I could fit this large of a painting in my car, but I immediately enjoyed the abstract design of the diptych, each canvas should feel be an interesting painting on its own, but together the composition and design must feel even stronger.
