mountains

I spend a lot of time painting the mountains of California. The hills and mountains of northern California are moody and changing. Lush green in spring, parched and yellow in the summer, and snowy in the winter. I find the mountains in California feel more intimate when compared to the vast ranges and vistas of the rocky mountains. Every time I return it feels like coming home.
